Dear Appalachian Chapter Members,
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Judy Pedneau, one of the fearless leaders and founding members of the Appalachian Chapter of the Virginias SHRM.
Judy was instrumental in establishing and nurturing this chapter, creating a home for HR professionals across the Virginias. Her dedication and commitment laid the groundwork for everything we do today.
Her wonderful spirit infused our meetings, events, and community with warmth and enthusiasm. Furthermore, the excellent leadership example she set—marked by integrity, wisdom, and genuine care for others—will continue to serve as a testimony for our profession and a benchmark for all future chapter leadership.
We extend our deepest condolences to Judy’s family, friends, and everyone whose life she touched. We are grateful for her indelible contribution to the HR community.
In the coming weeks, we will share information regarding any memorial services or ways the chapter can collectively honor her memory.
With heartfelt sympathy,
